"Wow, I have a place for all of our family to sit and do things they
enjoy. It no longer looks like a junk room but a room where things get accomplished" - AM, Montgomery, AL
Very proud
to be a Gold Sponsor of this year's "Art In the Park", May 8th at Gamble Park in Jasper, AL. Come by our booth and
say hello!!
This week we completed our 2010 Messy Room contest winner's space
and take a look at what she had to say -
"I have an extra room in my house that I was using as a library/office.
A few months back I changed some things around in this room. I ended up creating such a mess that the only way to define it
was chaotic. The more I looked at it the more I realized that it would be an overwhelming task to put it back together. Then
I read the article in the newspaper about the "Messiest Room Contest" and I knew just what I needed to do - enter
that contest. I took pictures of the room and emailed them with an explanation of why I thought I should win the contest.
I really didn't think I would win. When Melissa notified that I had indeed won, the reality of it hit. That room was a mess
and people were going to see pictures of it. I almost backed out of the contest a couple of times.
But today, looking at this nice, neat, incredibly organized room I don't mind people seeing the "before" pictures
because the "after" pictures tell the complete story. The room is now organized and I have a space that is fully
functional for me to work, craft, paint, write and read in, which is more than I was able to do in it before.
I can’t find one word to describe the look or feel for this finished room but words like orderly, organized, neat,
tidy, peaceful, restful, and creative space all come to mind."
